Preservation Bloomfield was formed to move, restore and preserve the Benjamin-Barton House and Craig log cabin, both built in the 1840s by pioneer families. These were moved to the Bowers School Farm in 2008 and have been lovingly cared for by community volunteers who have spent many hundreds of hours keeping them in great condition. Thousands of community members have visited these pioneer homes and learned about the history of the Bloomfield area.
