About the event
We are ready to embark on a new fundraising venture to take us into the future – namely Art on the Farm – which can grow and mature in the coming years, and we are asking for your time and wisdom to make it a reality.
We have already issued a “Call for Art” using online software, and we have included the same information on the Preservation Bloomfield website. The event will be held August 3 and August 4.
The artists who participate will pay us to set up their booths and offer their goods for sale during the art fair. We are looking for artisans who offer products which can be directly linked as output from farm activities, such as honey from bee keeping, goat cheese, wool from the sheep, etc. The fine art artists may participate in the categories of painting, photography, metal work, ceramics, jewelry, watercolors, glass, jewelry, sculpture, fiber/fabric, leather, wood, and mixed media. So, the more artists, the more revenue. We need to solicit as many artists as possible; we hope to attract a total of 100 participants.
Please come to a planning meeting at the Barton Farmhouse on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 10:00AM. Coffee and sweets will be provided. We need to emphasize that this is a large undertaking–but the work is in the decision-making. Once decisions are made, it will be administrative paperwork to make things happen.
